Chocolate Recovery Protein Bites

These Protein Bites are the perfect convenient recovery meal when you’re away from home. Grab a few to keep in your gym bag or in your car to have immediately after training. They contain a good ratio of protein to carbohydrate to support muscle repair. They also contain healthy monounsaturated fat and plenty of fibre. Adding cocoa obviously tastes great, and it also contributes antioxidant nutrients.

Eat one at a time as a quick anytime snack on the run, or eat 3 after training for a more powerful recovery snack with a good ratio of protein to carbs. Remember to drink enough water after training, and consider adding a cup of milk on the side if you’ve worked really hard and need some extra protein, or a carb-based drink like coconut water to ensure adequate energy replenishment and hydration.
