The steps:
Rinse your swimming costume out with fresh, cold water after use.
Let your costume dry in the shade after rinsing. Reframe from wrapping your wet rinsed costume in a towel, as the towel may still be holding chlorinated water.
Occasionally, hand-wash your swimming costume with mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
The tips:
When applying sunblock, do so +-15 minutes prior to putting your costume on. This is to ensure that the oil or lotion, which is applied does not absorb into the costume.
Remember to never:
Put your costume in the washing machine or tumble dryer.
Leave your swimwear wrapped in a towel – the wet costume and towel may still be holding chlorinated water, which will lead to the deterioration of the suit.
Leave your costume to dry without rinsing.
Leave your costume in direct sunlight.
Soak or bleach your costume.
