Red Repair Recovery Smoothie

After exercise your muscles need protein for repair and carbs to replenish energy stores. Hydration is also an important part of the recovery process, so a high protein smoothie is ideal. Anti-inflammatory nutrients are also supportive of a healthy healing process.

Try to have this recovery smoothie within an hour after a tough training session or race. Make it in advance and store in a flask if you are away from home.

Red Repair Recovery Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop vanilla flavoured or plain whey protein powder (about 20g protein)
  • 1 tbsp Wellness Warehouse Red Repair
  • 1 banana
  • 1 can coconut water
  • ½ cup chopped fresh or frozen berries e.g. strawberries
