What are some of your most memorable moments or achievements?

Representing South Africa on the international stage has been one of the greatest honours of my life. Every single moment traveling with the SA team to World Aquatic Championships or standing behind the blocks alongside teammates who have become close friends fills me with immense pride and gratitude.

One of my most memorable achievements would definitely be winning a bronze medal in the relay event at my very first international competition.

What are some of your top tips for other swimmers?

  • 1. Be consistent – Progress doesn't happen overnight. Consistency in training, recovery, and nutrition is key to improvement.
  • 2. Listen to your body – Know the difference between pushing your limits and pushing too far. Rest and recovery are just as important as training.
  • 3. Surround yourself with support – Whether it's your coach, teammates, family, or friends, having people who uplift and believe in you makes the journey more manageable and fulfilling.
  • 4. Stay mentally strong – There will be hard days and disappointments, but use them as fuel. Your mindset will always be your biggest strength or your biggest limitation.

Apart from swimming, what do you do for fun?

Outside of the pool, I really value slowing down and enjoying the little moments. After spending so many hours training, I absolutely love spending quality time with my boyfriend—whether we’re just relaxing at home, watching a movie, or going for a peaceful walk to reset and recharge.

What is your favourite Speedo product and why?

My absolute favourite Speedo product has to be my snorkel. With the long distances we train and the intensity of the sessions, the snorkel allows me to really focus on stroke control, stability, and relaxation in the water. It helps eliminate distractions and lets me zero in on perfecting my form, especially during long sets when fatigue can set in.
